Laos Cultural Week in Vietnam will begin on July 16 in Hanoi and Nghe An to mark the 45th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations and the 30th anniversary of signing the Friendship Treaty between Vietnam and Lao.

The event is jointly organised by the Vietnamese and Laos Ministries of Culture and Information.

Activities include a ceremony at the Hanoi Opera House, a live TV programme live linkage, an exhibition and cultural and art performance.

A delegation of some 100 Lao artists and painters will be in Vietnam to give performances, fashion shows and exhibit paintings, photos and handicrafts.
