NTS-P15 HERITAGE & CIVILIZATION (15 DAYS / 14 NIGHTS)

Day 1 : Arrival – Ho Chi Minh City (L.D)

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh city. Airport welcome by NTS guides. Transfer to hotel in air-conditioned vehicle. A city tour visits two fine examples of French colonial architecture : the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Saigon Post Office; the Palace of the Reunification (outside). Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, discover Cholon, the city’s Chinatown, with a visit to Thien Hau pagoda and Binh Tay market, the largest and famous one in Ho Chi Minh city. At Binh Tay market, there is 30-minute free time for shopping. Visit the pagoda of Giac Lam and a lacquer ware factory, where guests can do shopping. Dinner with a traditional Vietnamese musical and dance performance. Overnight at hotel in Ho chi Minh city.

 

Day 2 : Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Ho Chi Minh City (B.L.D)

After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Cai Be. Embark a motor boat and enjoy a nice trip along Tien river, the largest branch of the Mekong River to visit the floating market of Cai Be. Stop at family-run workshop producing rice pancake, and  at fruit garden to taste seasonal fruits, honey tea and enjoy a short local musical performance. Lunch. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Dinner and night at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Day 3 : Ho Chi Minh CityDa Nang – Hoi An (B.L.D)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Tan San Nhat airport for a short flight to Da Nang. Arrival in Da Nang airport. Welcome by NTS guide and transfer to Da Nang town for a visit to Cham museum where visitors will discover the biggest collection of Champa age-old cultures and fine-arts. Lunch. Visit the village of stone sculpture and the Marble mountain before proceeding to Hoi An, the ancient town recognized as the World Heritage. Dinner and overnight in Hoi An.

 

Day 4 : Hoi An – My Son – Hoi An (B.L.D)

Breakfast at your hotel. Enjoy a trip to My Son Holy see, one of the World Heritages of Viet Nam. The site is at 50 km far from Hoi An town.  Return to Hoi An for lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat trip along Thu Bon River and relax at the Cua Dai beach. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Hoi An.

 

Day 5 : Hoi An – Hue (B.L.D)

Breakfast at your hotel. Discover the ancient town of Hoi An with the walks along the town’s narrow streets, visits to ancient houses, theBridgetemple, Taoist temple and local market. Leave the hotel for lunch, then drive to Hue. Have a spectacular stop at the Pass of Ocean Clouds followed by a photo stop  at Lang Co village and exotic Phu Loc fishing village. On arrival in Hue, the former capital of Vietnam under the Tay Son and the Nguyen dynasties of emperors ruled from 1802 till 1945. Visit the elaborate mausoleum of former emperor Tu Duc. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Hue.

 

Day 6 : Hue (B.L.D)

Breakfast at hotel. Take a boat trip on the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, the Mausoleum of former Emperor Minh Mang. Lunch. Explore the Imperial Citadel and Royal Palace. Stroll at Dong Ba market. Royally costumed dinner with traditional music performance of Hue. Overnight in Hue.

 

Day 7 : Hue – Dong Hoi (B.L.D)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Quang Tri through the regions of A Luoi, Khe Sanh which were battlefields during the war between Vietnamese forces against American soldiers. Portions of the famed Ho Chi Minh trail can be visited. Lunch. Drive on to Dong Ha with a photo stop at the bridge of Dak Khrong and a visit to the village of  Bru Van Kieu ethnic group. En route to Dong Hoi via the historical bridge of Hien Luong at 17th parallel that used to be the  temporary border between the North and the South of the country of Viet Nam according to the Geneva Agreement. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Dong Hoi.

 

Day 8 : Dong Hoi – Ha Noi  (by night train) (B.L.D)

Breakfast at hotel. Proceed directly to the site of Phong Nha – Ke Bang, recognized as the World Heritage by the UNESCO. Lunch at a local restaurant in Phong Nha. Take a boat trip for a visit to the wonderful Phong Nha cave. Drive to Dong Hoi town for dinner. Transfer to Dong Hoi railway station to take night train to Ha Noi. Overnight on board.

 

Day 9 : Ha Noi – Ha Long (B.L.D)

Early morning arrival in Ha Noi. Transfer to your hotel. Breakfast. Visit the ethnographic museum and then drive to Hai Phong through the countryside. A sightseeing tour of Hai Phong includes Du Hang pagoda, Hang Kenh communal house, a workshop producing carpets. Lunch. Proceed to Ha Long for embarking a wooden sailing junk for 2 day cruise around Ha Long Bay, the World Heritage. Seafood dinner and overnight on board.

 

Day 10 : Ha Long – Ha Noi – Lao Cai ( by night train ) (B.L.D)

Breakfast on board. Enjoy a nice excursion through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of  the wonderful Halong Bay with a visit to stalactite and stalagmite grottoes. Lunch with seafood on board. After lunch, disembark and drive back to Ha Noi. Dinner and transfer to the Ha Noi railway station to take night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on board.

 

Day 11 : Lao Cai – Sapa (B.L.D)

Breakfast. Arrival  at Lao Cai railway station.  Drive to the mountainous town of Sapa for check-in & breakfast. Free until the sight seeing tour to Ham Rong Mountain, Cat Cat Valey and the Black H’mong, Zay and Red Zao minority peoples at Ta Phin villages.

 

Day 12 : Sa Pa (B.L.D)

Full day trekking tour in Sapa to explore the culture in the ethnic minority villages and market.

 

Day 13 : Sa Pa – Ha Noi (B.L.D)

Breakfast at hotel. Check out and drive back to Ha Noi with some stops to discover the black  Zao and Meo ethnic groups. Visit a Taoist temple. Lunch en route. Arrival in Ha Noi. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Ha Noi.

 

Remarks : Depending on your time schedule, the tour itinerary can be arranged to the trip to Bac Ha Sunday Market or Can Cau Saturday market.

 

Day 14 : Ha Noi  (B.L.D)

Breakfast. Leave hotel for a morning of sightseeing around Hanoi which includes the 11th century Temple of Literature, the pagoda of Tran Quoc, the temple of Quan Thanh and the Museum of Fine-Art. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Lake of the Restored Sword, Ngoc Son Temple. Take a 45-minute tour of the 36 guilds of the famous Old Quarter by cyclo, the Vietnamese version of the rickshaw.  In the evening, enjoy a water puppet show. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

 

Day 15 : Ha Noi – Departure (B.L)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit the One Pillar Pagoda, President Ho Chi Minh ‘s Mausoleum and his stilt house, the former Governor of Indochina’s Palace. Shopping. Lunch. Free time until the transfer to the international airport of Noi Bai for departure.
