Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Ninh Binh – Hai Phong – Halong - Hanoi

Day 1 : Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Ninh Binh

Drive to amazing Hoa Lu area which is famed for “earthly Halong Bay”. Travel peacefully by row boat through the rice field and immense rocks like sugar loaves thus far the Van Lam village. Visit Bich Dong cave and temples dedicated to two ancient vietnamese Kings (Dinh and Le). Lunch. Drive to Phat Diem for the sightseeing of the enormous stone Church and stroll through  Kim Son, famous for bamboo and rattan mats. Dinner and overnight in Ninh Binh. (L. D.)

 

Day 2 : Ninh Binh – Hai Phong

Breakfast at your hotel . Drive to Hai Phong stopping en route at Pho Minh  pagoda and at a small village known as the birthplace of water puppetry in the Red River Delta. Enjoy beautiful view of rice fields and country life before meeting local artisans who specialise in the ancient art of water puppetry. Enjoy a water-puppet performance, eat local delicacies, and fly lanterns for good luck.  Continuation of road to Hai Phong. Dinner and overnight in Hai Phong. (B.L.D.)

 

Day 3 : Hai Phong – Halong – Hanoi

Breakfast at your hotel. Haiphong city tour. Visit Du Hang pagoda and Hang Kenh communal house. Drive to Halong. On arrival at Halong tourist harbour,  embark a junk for a 5-hour excursion in Halong Bay, the World Heritage. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on board. Return to Hanoi. (B.L.)
